Strawberry and Rhubarb Purée
In this recipe, the acidity and bitterness of the rhubarb is balanced by the sweetness of the strawberries.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup strawberries sliced
- 1/3 cup rhubarb 1/2" slices
- 1/2 teaspoon honey optional
Instructions
- Put the rhubarb and strawberries in the steamer basket.
- Pour water into the tank (level 2).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the rhubarb and strawberries are cooked, put them in the blending bowl with honey, reserving the cooking liquid.
- Add some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
