A simple recipe to introduce fall vegetables to your little one. For younger babies, omit the chestnut.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup pumpkin cubed
- 1 leaf swiss chard chopped
- 1 chestnut shell removed and halved (optional)
- 1/3 cup pear cubed
- 1/3 cup apple cubed
- 1 cup red potato cubed
- 1 teaspoon green onion outer layer removed, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Butter
- pinch ground white pepper
Instructions
- Put the pumpkin, Swiss chard, chestnut, pear, apple, red potato and green onion in steamer basket.
- Pour water into tank (level 3).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the fruits and vegetables are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
- Pulse twice, adding 2 tablespoons of cooking juices between pulses to obtain a thin purée, or add 1 tablespoon of cooking juice for a thicker purée.
- Serve with butter, olive oil and small pinch of ground pepper to taste.
