Potatoes, Peas and Leeks

This month, we’re featuring this vegetarian purée recipe that introduces baby to the flavor of peas and leeks. Leeks are similar to onions, and have a mild taste which makes them an excellent choice for introducing to baby. They’re also vitamin and nutrient rich, especially with beta-carotene, vitamin C, potassium and iron.

  1. Put the potatoes, leeks and peas in the steamer basket.
  2. Pour water into the tank (level 3).
  3. Start the cooking process.
  4. When the vegetables are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
  5. Add the olive oil and some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
