Mushroom, Sweet Potato and Zucchini Purée
Mushrooms for babies? While it's rare that they're an ingredient in baby food, mushrooms are a good source of both vitamin D and iron - just be sure to cook them before serving them to baby!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup zucchini, sliced
- 1/2 cup sweet potato, cubed
- 1 sprig Thyme
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Put the Shiitake mushrooms, zucchini, sweet potato and thyme in the steamer basket.
- Pour water into the tank (level 3).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the Shiitake mushrooms, zucchini and sweet potato are cooked, put them in the blending bowl and set aside the cooking liquid.
- Add the olive oil and blend, adding some of the cooking liquid (if needed) to bring to the desired consistency.
