Ham and Pea Soup
Peas may be tiny, but they sure have a ton of protein! Did you know that there is more protein in a cup of peas than in a tablespoon of peanut butter? Besides protein, peas have calcium, iron and vitamins A and C.

Peas may be tiny, but they sure have a ton of protein! Did you know that there is more protein in a cup of peas than in a tablespoon of peanut butter? Besides protein, peas have calcium, iron and vitamins A and C.
Ingredients
- 1 cup peas
- 1/4 cup white onion sliced
- 1/3 cup potato cubed
- 1/8 cup ham cubed
- 1 teaspoon Butter
Instructions
- Put the potatoes, onions and peas in the steamer basket.
- Pour water into the tank (level 3).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the potatoes, onions and peas are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
- Add the ham and butter.
- Add some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
