Apple + Butternut Squash = Fall Favorite!
Butternut squash is rich in potassium and in flavor! Pairing butternut squash with apples makes a great nutritionally-rich first dish for baby.
Ingredients
- 3 cups butternut squash cubed
- 1 cup apple cubed
- 1 pinch cinnamon and/or nutmeg
Instructions
- Put the butternut squash and the apple in the steamer basket.
- Pour water into the tank (level 2).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the butternut squash and apple are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
- Add cinnamon and/or nutmeg for taste.
- Add some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.

New arrival from the 31 Days clan huge fan of butternut squash soup, and just made some this week! I combine mine with carrots, but oh my, can t wait to try an apple combo! And Bacon! I also add in come coconut milk for creaminess, but clearly that s not mandatory.
