The cup is beautiful, and has an awesome no leak feature. I’m giving it 2 stars due to the straw. The straw isn’t made for a thirsty baby. Maybe someone who is just learning to suck from a straw, but if your baby has mastered that already not the cup for you. I even tried to suck through the straw, and you basically have to have jaws of steel. There’s a small valve in the straw that you have to hold open with your fingers for water to pass through freely, and you’ll get tired of holding it open for your little one. If they had replacement straws without this valve, would be the only way I would recommend this.

Hi Annie! We see our Customer Service Team has already reached out to you, but for reference, the straw has a valve in it that needs to be slightly compressed to open and allow liquid to flow through. Without compression, the valve stays closed in order to avoid spills when the cup is upside down, and food from traveling back down the straw and into the cup! The valve is opened when the child bites or presses their lips down on it while sucking through the straw. It’s a similar technique to when they breast or bottle feed. Hope this is helpful 🙂

    Good qualities and bad
I think it’s great if you’re getting away from plastics but my son who is two has a hard time sucking out of the straw. It’s tricky.

    • BEABA

Hi Jessica! The straw has a valve in it that opens up to let liquid in when the child bites down slightly on the straw and sucks 🙂 Once your little one is no longer drinking from the straw, this valve then closes to prevent backwash, leaks and spillage!

    Great Quality terrible straw
The cup is beautiful, great quality, and doesn’t leak. The problem I have with it is it’s incredibly hard to drink from. I myself have tried to drink from it and it’s very hard to get water from it. When my 18 month old daughter tries she gets no water, gets frustrated, and doesn’t want the cup anymore. I was so excited to receive these cups and I’m extremely disappointed that my daughter can’t use them.

Hi Brittany! The cups are made so that the baby has to compress & suck at the same time, a technique similar to breastfeeding. We’re so sorry to hear that it didn’t work for your little one!

    Love it!
I looked for years for a straw cup that met my requirements – stainless steel, silicone straw, a cover, and handles, and finally found it! The only things I don’t like about it are that the bottle itself (but not the rest of the parts) has to be handwashed (assuming due to the fact that it’s insulated), and that we have had some small leaks when the bottle was upside down. Still would highly recommend it as a great non-toxic kids cup that doesn’t have plastic touching the beverage! It’s a great size for my 2-year-old to take to daycare.

    Excellent
I bought this a few months ago. It does a great job of keeping liquids cold. The straw is also really easy to clean. We love it!

Perfect for days out of the house
Love this stainless steel sippy cup for my son! We often spend whole days out of the house and I love knowing his water isn’t getting warm from the sun. We have two in rotation but I want more. Plus my son loves drinking from it!

Finally, I sippy cup we love!
Our lo loves this cup and so do we! He’s currently 16 months old and has been using it for the past 2 months. Keeps his milk cold and he can drink from the straw without issues. We love that the cup can take a “beating” when it gets dropped from his highchair or thrown on the floor, without leaking 🙂

    Stainless sippy
Love the stainless sippy cup! We use it all the time, especially in the hot weather. It keeps
My sons drink cold all day long!

  10. Lauren

    Our favorite cup!
We’ve tried several nontoxic cups but this one is the only one that works! It is durable, doesn’t spill and keeps the drink cold. We love it!

    Love it
I’ve tired them all, all the sippy/straw cups on the market….this is the only straw cup that doesn’t drip milk from the top of the straw when literally just sitting on the counter.
    if you know, you know.
Little one just turned 1 so that cup is all over the house, getting flinged from one area to the next and I don’t have to worry about milk dripping from the straw onto the floor when it’s tipped over. Love this cup!

    Love this cup!
I bought this a couple weeks ago and my son loves it and so do I. Such a cute great quality cup. I highly recommended.

    Ehhh
Straw is WAY too hard to use. Wouldn’t buy again

    Beaba stainless steel sippy cup
I just bought this sippy cup for my son ( exclusively BF) and I can’t even get water out of it so I’m not sure how on earth he is supposed to! He is getting so frustrated using it and can’t get any water.. is there any tips ??

    Terrible Straw
The cup is beautiful but not practical. The straw is very hard to use, even I can’t drink from the straw.

  16. Cynthia GS (verified owner)

    The perfect cup!
Beautifully made, super resistant and easy for baby to use, the ideal cup! Wish I had found it earlier!

    Beaba stainless steel cup
Only metal cup that doesn’t spill when my child throws across the room!!

  18. Nicole

    Very difficult to use
My 1yo couldn’t get any water thru the straw and neither could I. The no-spill cinch in the tube makes it very difficult to use. You need to bite and suck directly on the cinch to draw water. What a waste of money.

    Straw
Love the cup, the straw works great for my son who was transitioning from breast to straw. However, it is easy for him to chew through the silicone. The replacement parts have still not been in stock and I still have not received my replacement cup that was supposed to be sent to me.

water leak from the air hole all the time.
First of all, the water always leak out from the air hole. have to be very careful make sure it’s upright all the time. Which is very impossible for toddler or even adult. I always have spill water in the backpack and my kid has to go thirsty because the water leak out several times.
Then the straw is so fragile. It went brocken in the first month. and hard to find replacement in Canada.
Then the inner started to rust already in a few months.

I wanted to love but might as well toss your money away
I was so excited for this cup and wanted to love it. Unfortunately with the strange vented straw, my child was unable to use it despite being very comfortable with other straw cups on the market. When I tried it myself, I also couldn’t get the water out effectively. I contacted customer service for trouble shooting and they were less than helpful and don’t stand by this product with any guarantees.

  22. Yeyi

Great for babies not so great for toddlers
I bought this for my 1 year old nephew as he transitions in to a cup but the suction on the straw is more like the suction on a bottle. I wish you sold transitioning straws so we could use the cup past him being 1.

  23. Cynthia Van Horn

    Straw
I agree with the other reviews on the straw. I know it has a valve but I couldn’t get it to work. I feel as I’ve thrown $20 away. Can you please take the valve out and allow us to buy a straw that works?

  24. Suzanne

    Still in the Design Stages
The steel cup looks attractive and the no spill concept is very appealing. Unfortunately it is near impossible to get any liquid out of the cup. This product ought to be refundable.

  25. Emily

    Great with small modification
I love the stainless cup, it’s one of the only cute ones I’ve found with good handles and a cover that doesn’t leak much. The straw is too hard to suck liquids out well but I just cut the valve open with scissors and it works perfectly. It’s worth buying and making this modification.

    Great Product
My son loves it! I love that it doesn’t leak! He runs everywhere with it and drinks his water.

  27. Drea (verified owner)

    Awesome product that doesn’t leak!
My son loves drinking his milk from this cup! He runs around with it and it doesn’t leak with I love!

  28. Dolly

    Bad quality straw
The product is premium with very poor quality material used. The straw turns yellow within few days of use which is annoying. Better to buy some local products from Walmart than buying this product

  29. Annie

    What the straw?
The straw design is horrible. My 8mo infant cannot get any liquids out nor can I for that matter. Even if I bite down as advised. So frustrating. He is proficient at straw drinking and this is a complete waste of money.

  30. Lena

Hated it at first, love it now
I introduced this to my baby at around 6 months. She couldn’t drink out of the straw at all. Neither could I, it was impossible. Come to find out later that you have to bite down on the valve first.

I tried it with her subsequent times but she still couldn’t do it and had difficulties. Was gonna give up but decided to just give her the straw with a teeny amount of water in the straw. She was able to drink the water this way. As soon as she figured out the technique she was a pro at it.

Now it’s my and her favorite cup. Straw design + non toxic material + keeps cold and warm. 100% recommend
