Butternut Squash, Carrot and Thyme Purée
The name of this recipe caught our attention- we could not resist it when we first came across it on the Wholesome Baby Food site. This recipe can easily be converted into a smoothie recipe for older kids or for adults, but this version is just perfect for baby!

Butternut Squash, Carrot and Thyme Purée

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butternut squash cubed
- 3/4 cup carrot sliced
- 3/4 cup potato cubed
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Put the butternut squash, carrot, potato in the steamer basket.
- Pour water into the tank (level 3).
- Start the cooking process.
- When the butternut squash, carrot and potato are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
- Add the olive oil, thyme and some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
