Avocado, Banana & Flaxseed Purée

We’ve recently partnered up with Sasha Houseman from Paleo Superfood Synergy, who has created healthy & delicious recipes for babies.

Avocado definitely lives up to its name as a “superfood”. Not only do avocados have double the amount of beneficial potassium as bananas, which is important for proper nervous system function, but they are also full of beneficial fats, including omega 3s. In fact, avocados are the food with the closest fat profile to breast milk. Flaxseeds are also very high in omega 3 fatty acids. Therefore, the combination of the avocado with the flaxseeds makes this a crucial recipe to have in your thriving child’s diet to support proper brain development while the banana makes the mixture slightly sweet, smooth, and more palatable for baby.
